Health Facilities Management
Health care organizations are investing less in megaprojects involving traditional hospitals and more in upgrades or additions designed to help them thrive under the Affordable Care Act, according to a new article in Health Facilities Management magazine. The article pulls together results of the annual construction survey conducted by the magazine and ASHE. Survey results suggest a greater focus on infrastructure and technology, hospital-physician integration, and outpatient facilities. The survey also found that the weak economy continues to keep many projects on hold.
