The Villa's Inc, a High End condo in Palm Beach, contracted Carpenter Electric, Inc. for the installation of a 3000 amp automatic transfer switch. The scheduling presented as a challenge because we had to plan the install perfectly due to the fact that we had a shutdown by FPL Tuesday morning and had to have the building up and running in 24 Hrs. The work that we did included a directional bore of  4-4” conduits from the generator pad to the new 3000amp transfer switch into the the building, removing existing 3000amp main breaker enclosure, removing the existing 3000 amp buss bars, and retrofitting the new 3000amp transfer switch to the existing meter bank and the house panel. We ended up providing temporary power to maintain the Villa's house panel, and lighting to keep the crews working through the night. We are currently working on the foundation for the 300kw generator that will be installed in the first part of August 2009.
